Knob Noster teen injured in crash
A Knob Noster teenager sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 4:40 p.m. Monday in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, John T. Rehbock, 16, of Knob Noster, was driving north on state Route D, a half mile north of SE 100 County Road, when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road. Rehbock then over-corrected, causing an uncontrolled skid, and his vehicle traveled off the left side of the road. It then overturned, coming to rest on its top.
A passenger in his vehicle, Jacob D. Sutherland, 16, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Children’s Mercy Hospital for his injuries.
Reports indicate both Rehbock and Sutherland were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Two seriously injured in Moniteau
Two people sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday in Moniteau County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Caleb T. Sewell, 23, of Tipton, was driving east on U.S. Highway 50 at Pam Jones Road when he failed to negotiate a curve. His vehicle traveled off the left side of the road and overturned.
Sewell was taken by Staff for Life to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia for his injuries. A passenger in his vehicle, Amber L. Spencer-Kiral, 19, of Tuscumbia, was taken by ambulance to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City for her injuries.
Reports indicate Spencer-Kiral was not wearing a seat belt, and it is unknown if Sewell was wearing one.
