Suzie Wilbanks and Mike Simons, of Sedalia, were married at 4 p.m. Oct. 11, 2014, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Sedalia. The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Kathryn Smith, of Green Ridge, and the late Larry Wilbanks, of Hughesville. The groom is the son of Lloyd and Edie Simons, of Sedalia.
The Rev. Leora Bremer conducted the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her step-father. Cierra Dunham was the maid of honor. Jennifer Brown, sister of the bride, and Ayanna Warren were bridesmaids. Aubrey Simons was the flower girl.
Tollie Rowe was the best man. Hank Kronk and Shawn Apel were groomsmen.
In attendance were the bride and groom’s children, Becca Wilbanks, Megan Wilbanks, Allie Wilbanks-Miller and Maddy Simons.
A reception was hosted at the Fox Theater Event Center in Sedalia.
The bride is a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School and she is employed at Guesa USA in Sedalia.
The groom is a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School and of the Jackson County Police Academy. He is employed as a corporal for the patrol division of the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office.
After a honeymoon to Branson the couple live in Sedalia.
