Lee’s Summit woman injured in accident

A Lee’s Summit woman was injured in a vehicle accident at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday in Johnson County.

Rachell L. Cutrell, 19, was driving north on county road NW 1901 when she swerved to miss a deer and traveled off the right side of the roadway. Her vehicle then struck an embankment and overturned multiple times before coming to rest off the southeast side of the roadway, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Cutrell was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence with moderate injuries. Reports indicate Cutrell was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Warrensburg man injured in vehicle, deer accident

A Warrensburg man was injured in a vehicle accident at 6:05 a.m. Tuesday in Johnson County.

John D. Rodgers was driving north on state Route 13 when a deer collided with his vehicle, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Rodgers, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Lee’s Summit Medical Center with serious injuries.

Woman injured in Benton

An Edwards woman was injured in a vehicle accident at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday in Benton County.

Caron L. Rider, 49, was driving west on Poor Boy Road when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway. She over-corrected, then the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway. Rider over-corrected again and her vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Rider, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton for her injuries.
