Four people were arrested on drug-related charges early Thursday morning after Sedalia Police Department officers served a search warrant.

According to a SPD news release, at 6:32 a.m., SPD officers and detectives arrived at a residence in the 1300 block of East Fourth Street to serve a drug-related search warrant.

Upon entry into the home, four adults were located and detained without incident. There was also a juvenile in the home at the time of the warrant. During the course of the warrant, a fifth adult arrived at the house and he was also detained.

A SPD K9 Unit performed a sweep of the residence and the K9 alerted to the presence of narcotic odor in various places inside the home.

A search of the home by the K9 Unit and officers revealed measurable amounts of marijuana, drug packaging materials/supplies, drug paraphernalia, two handguns and cash, which detectives suspect is from profits of drug sales.
