Harrisonville man injured in crash

A Harrisonville man sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Patrick T. Fletcher, 19, was driving south on U.S. Highway 65, north of Claycomb Road, when he fell asleep. His vehicle traveled off the road and struck two signs. Fletcher then over-corrected, causing the vehicle to travel across the road and off the opposite side. His vehicle then struck the ground and overturned.

Fletcher, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for his injuries.

Sedalia woman injured in Pettis

A Sedalia woman sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 12:11 p.m. Thursday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Ruslana S. Boyko, 18, was driving west on state Route HH, 10 miles east of Sedalia, when her vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, impacted a tree and overturned.

Boyko, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Life Flight to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia for her injuries.

Sedalia man injured in local crash

A Sedalia man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of South Ohio Avenue and East 19th Street.

According to a Sedalia Police Department report, Aleksandr Kazakov, 28, of the 400 block of West 10th Street, was riding a scooter south on Ohio Avenue approaching 19th Street when an unknown westbound vehicle pulled out onto Ohio from 19th into Kazakov’s path of travel.

Kazakov swerved to avoid colliding with the second vehicle, causing him to go into the ditch. He tried to correct himself back onto the road when he hit a concrete block in the ditch, flipping over the handlebars onto the road.

The second vehicle left the scene after the incident, and no information is available, other than a possible description of a white passenger car. The report noted the second vehicle did not collide with Kazakov.

Kazakov sustained injuries to his left shoulder, upper chest and hands and was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center.
