Two Sedalians were arrested on drug-related charges early Tuesday morning after a search warrant was served.
According to a Sedalia Police Department STING Unit news release, at 6:30 a.m. SPD officers served a drug-related search warrant at a residence in the 1600 block of East Fourth Street.
Upon arrival, one suspect was detained and later a second suspect arrived who was also detained. A juvenile was at the residence and family was contacted to take custody.
A search of the residence revealed multiple small quantity bags of marijuana, digital scales, packaging material and other drug paraphernalia. On-scene interviews were conducted with the suspects. At the conclusion of the investigation, the evidence was collected and two subjects were transported to the Pettis County Jail.
William Kabler, 46, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana (felony), possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful transaction with a child.
Leigha Kabler, 55, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana (misdemeanor) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Formal charges were not available at press time.
