Four Knob Noster teens injured in wreck
Four Knob Noster teenagers were injured Friday evening in a single-vehicle wreck in Johnson County on State Highway 23 near County Road NE.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2003 Chrysler driven by 16-year-old Faith A. Rose and carrying three passengers was traveling south on Highway 23, when it veered off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned striking several trees before coming to a rest.The car then caught fire.
Passengers Callie G. Clifton, 16, suffered serious injuries and was life flighted to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence. Passenger Brandi J. Warzala, 17, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Research Hospital by ambulance. Driver Rose and passenger Payton A. Smith, 15, sustained minor injuries and sought their own medical treatment.
The case is still under investigation by the MSHP. Johnson County Deputy Sheriff’s assisted with the rescue.
