Stover man injured in crash
A Stover man sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 12:05 p.m. Monday in Benton County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Brandon C. Weaver, 19, of Warsaw, and James J. Fisher, 23, were both driving south on U.S. Highway 65, south of Drenon Road, when Weaver overtook and struck the rear of Fisher’s vehicle.
Fisher was taken by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for his injuries. Weaver refused treatment at the scene.
Reports indicate both Fisher and Weaver were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Holden man injured in Johnson
A Holden man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 10:30 p.m. Monday in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Shirley A. Jamison, 69, of Holden, was driving north on SW 1151st Road when she traveled through the intersection at SW 1200th Road and struck a ditch.
A passenger in her vehicle, Randy D. Looney, 58, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence with minor injuries.
Reports indicate Jamison was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, but Looney was not.
