Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Northeast Pettis County

The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a severe thunderstorm warning until 4:45 p.m. for Northeastern Pettis County, Cooper County, Eastern Saline County, Randolph County, Howard County and Southeastern Chariton County.

According to NWS, at 3:25 p.m., severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Keytesville to near Slater to nine miles east of Houstonia, moving northeast at 50 mph. Sixty mph wind gusts are expected.

Locations impacted include Moberly, Marshall, Boonville, Fayette, Slater, Salisbury, Huntsville, Glasgow, New Franklin, Pilot Grove, Higbee, Bunceton, Clark, Armstrong, Rocheport, Prairie Home, Gilliam, Nelson, Hughesville and Renick.

This includes Interstate 70 in Missouri between mile markers 76 and 114.
