Three people injured in Henry crash
Three people were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 4:58 p.m. Tuesday in Henry County.
Laurie Freeman, 61, of Stover, was driving north on state Route W at SE 500 Road when her vehicle struck standing water in the roadway. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned in a ditch, coming to rest on its top, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
Freeman was taken by Golden Valley EMS to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton with minor injuries. A passenger in her vehicle, Charles H. Johnson, 35, also of Stover, was taken by Golden Valley EMS to GVMH with moderate injuries. Another passenger in her vehicle, Kenneth M. Lacore, 49, of Independence, was taken by Golden Valley EMS to GVMH with serious injuries.
It is unknown if any of the occupants were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
