Three injured in Pettis crash

Three people were injured in a three-vehicle accident at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Destiny Jones, 24, and Elizabeth B. Hogan, 34, of Otterville, were both driving east on U.S. Highway 50, west of state Route 135, when Jones struck the rear of Hogan’s vehicle. Hogan’s vehicle traveled off the road and came to rest off the right side of the road.

Jones’ vehicle then crossed the center of the road and struck a westbound vehicle driven by Heather A. Ives, 58, of Cole Camp. Jones’ vehicle traveled off the left side of the road while Ives’ came to rest in the eastbound lane.

Jones was taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to University Hospital in Columbia. Hogan and Ives were both taken by PCAD to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Reports indicate all three individuals were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Wheatland man injured in accident

A Wheatland man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Linda M. Case, 53, was driving south on state Route 13, two-tenths of a mile north of SE 101 Road, when her vehicle entered water in the roadway and she lost control of the vehicle. It then slid off the left side of the road and struck a ditch.

Case, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton with minor injuries.

Man injured in Johnson crash

A Kansas City man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Gregory W. Starr, 47, of Olathe, Kansas, was driving west on U.S. Highway 50, four-tenths of a mile east of NW 361 Road, when he overtook and struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Gage M. Berry, 23. Berry’s vehicle then skidded off the left side of the road and into the median.

Berry was taken by private vehicle to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence with minor injuries.

Reports indicate both Starr and Berry were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Woman injured in Morgan accident

A Gravois Mills woman sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 12:07 a.m. Wednesday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Hailey R. Kalinka, 24, was driving south on state Route 5, 754 feet north of Twin Bay Road, when she swerved to avoid a deer. Her vehicle then traveled off the right side of the road and collided with two ditches before coming to rest.

Kalinka, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Mid-Mo Ambulance District to Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach for her injuries.
