Woman injured in Henry crash

An Appleton City woman sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Henry County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Olivia N. McIntosh, 18, was driving north on state Route 52, a half mile south of SW 900 Road, when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the road. McIntosh over-corrected, causing the vehicle to travel off the left side of the road. It struck a ditch and fence before coming to rest.

McIntosh, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Ellett Memorial Ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton for her injuries.

Centerview man injured in crash

A Centerview man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 6:35 a.m. Thursday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jacob D. Smith, 20, was driving west on U.S. Highway 50, 1.2 miles west of state Route 13, when his vehicle began to slide and traveled off the left side of the road. It overturned before coming to rest in the median.

Smith, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center with minor injuries.

Man arrested for DWI

A Kansas City man was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Michael R. Davis, 22, was driving north on state Route 135, 1.1 miles north of Cup Tree Road, when his vehicle crossed the center line, traveled off the left side of the road and overturned, then struck a tree.

Davis, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach with moderate injuries.

Davis was also arrested on charges of failure to drive on the right side of the road and no insurance.

Two injured in Sedalia accident

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 5:13 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Broadway Boulevard and South Grand Avenue.

According to a Sedalia Police Department report, Clay O. Thixton, 40, no address given, was driving west on Broadway Boulevard when he said he had a green light at the Grand Avenue intersection. He pulled into the intersection, where he collided with a southbound vehicle driven by Dana Clark, 28, of Hughesville.

Clark said she had a green light as she was southbound on Grand Avenue and proceeded through the intersection. She attempted to avoid a collision, but was unable to do so.

A witness said they saw Thixton run a red light and collide with Clark’s vehicle, who had a green light.

A passenger in Thixton’s vehicle was taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for left shoulder pain. Clark was taken by PCAD to BRHC for head pain.
