Cole Camp German Club hosts Christmas music

The annual program of German Christmas music will be presented at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 205 W. Jefferson St., in Cole Camp. The concert will feature the German Singers of Cole Camp and the Familie Braun Kinderchor. During the concert the audience will be given the opportunity to join with the performers in singing several familiar carols. In addition, there will be a pre-concert instrumental ensemble, presenting a medley of Christmas carols at 6:45 p.m.

The concert will include several beautiful German carols which are seldom heard in America, as well as some of the familiar carols such as “Stille Nacht” and “O du Froehliche.”

Various carols to be sung in this concert were sung each Christmas in area churches for more than a hundred years. The Cole Camp German Club, sponsor of this event, cordially invites the public to attend this Christmas celebration of our German heritage and for refreshments following the concert. Admission is free.
