Archie man arrested for DWI

An Archie man was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 3:35 p.m. Friday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jeffrey R. Craig, 47, was driving west on state Route 58, east of County Road SW 1521, when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road. Craig over-corrected and his vehicle traveled off the left side of the road and overturned.

Craig, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by MSHP Trooper J.T. Langsdale to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with minor injuries.

Craig was also arrested on charges of three counts of second degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child, no seat belt, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, and consuming an alcoholic beverage while operating a vehicle on a highway.

Grandview man arrested after accident

A Grandview man was arrested on drug-related charges after a single-vehicle accident at 4:54 p.m. Friday in Henry County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jordan Bosch, 25, was driving south on state Route 7 when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned.

Bosch, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton with moderate injuries.

Bosch was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Holden woman seriously injured

A Holden woman sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 6:16 p.m. Friday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Leah A. Daugherty, 56, was driving south on state Route 131 at SW 100 Road when she swerved to avoid a slow-moving vehicle. Her vehicle crossed into the northbound lanes and struck a vehicle driven by Andrew J. Collins, 17, of Holden.

Daugherty was taken by Life Flight to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for her injuries. Collins was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Children’s Mercy Hospital with moderate injuries.

Reports indicate both Daugherty and Collins were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Woman arrested for Pettis DWI

A Lee’s Summit woman was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 5:30 p.m. Friday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Renee C. Spillman, 41, was driving east on state Route M, one-tenth of a mile west of the Morgan County/Pettis County line, when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the road. Spillman over-corrected and her vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned.

Spillman, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries.

Spillman was also arrested on charges of careless and imprudent driving resulting in a vehicle accident and no insurance.

Sedalia man injured in Morgan

A Sedalia man sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 1:42 a.m. Saturday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jeremy D. Riggs, 23, was driving south on state Route 5, one-tenth of a mile north of U.S. Highway 50, when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, returned to the road, skidded off the right side of the road and overturned before striking a fence.

Riggs was taken by Mid-Mo Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for his injuries.

It is unknown if Riggs was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
