Two injured in Johnson crash

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 6:35 a.m. Thursday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Timothy Williams, 44, of Windsor, was driving west on U.S. Highway 50. Another westbound vehicle driven by Rogelio Amieva, 34, of Warrensburg, changed lanes and struck the rear of Williams’ vehicle. Williams’ vehicle crossed the center line, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a fence.

Williams was taken to Lee’s Summit Medical Center with serious injuries. Amieva was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with minor injuries.

Reports indicate both Williams and Amieva were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Sedalia woman injured in local crash

A Sedalia woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 9:50 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of South Engineer Avenue and East 10th Street.

According to a Sedalia Police Department report, Angela D. Brandes, 41, of the 1200 block of East 16th Street, was driving south on Engineer when she “fell asleep or blacked out” and her vehicle struck a utility pole. She told officers she has a history of medical issues.

Brandes was taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for chest pain.

Sedalia man injured on U.S. 65

A Sedalia man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of U.S. Highway 65 and 18th Street.

According to a Sedalia Police Department report, Madison L. Denard, 20, of the 3400 block of South Park Avenue, was driving south on U.S. 65 when traffic in front of her began to slow quickly due to an accident ahead of them. She was unable to stop in time and collided with the rear of a vehicle driven by Jeremiah Littlepage, 31, of the 200 block of South Grand Avenue.

Littlepage was taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for neck and head pain.
