This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
Sedalia Police Department
8:58 p.m.: Sarena Michelle Carter, 18, of the 2200 block of South Kentucky Avenue, was arrested in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard on a charge of stealing.
12:30 p.m.: Nancy A. Hanks, 58, of Sandoval, Illinois, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of assault. Hanks allegedly struck a female victim in the face in a business parking lot.
11:30 a.m.: Darrell G. Parke III, 35, of the 600 block of East Broadway Boulevard, was arrested at his residence on a charge of third degree domestic assault.
3:30 p.m.: Michael S. Cunningham, 53, of Clinton, was arrested in the 3200 block of West 16th Street on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
10:55 p.m.: Willem D. Campbell, 21, of Stover, was arrested in the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of second degree property damage. When a clerk at the business could not cash Campbell’s check, he allegedly tossed over a wine rack, breaking or damaging 23 wine bottles, and some of the liquid soaked into eight 12-packs of soda.
5:48 p.m.: A domestic assault was reported in the 1800 block of South Barrett Avenue. A male subject reportedly choked and hit a female subject.
12:43 a.m.: Officers began to conduct a traffic stop for several traffic violations near the intersection of Pettis Street and Ohio Avenue when the vehicle rapidly accelerated east on Pettis. The vehicle stopped after striking a tree near the intersection of Jefferson Street and Missouri Avenue, where the occupants fled the vehicle and ran through an open field. Officers located the driver and arrested him without incident. It was discovered the vehicle had been stolen earlier in the 1800 block of South Washington Avenue.
4:44 a.m.: A male victim reported a male suspect pulled a knife on him and attempted to stab him in the 300 block of Scott Joplin Court. While the victim was on the ground, the suspect stole his cell phone and ran off.
1:34 p.m.: Two Kicker speakers, an amplifier and a necklace, combined value of $1,700, were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked behind a residence in the 1400 block of South Kentucky Avenue.
10:21 p.m.: A male subject reported he was kidnapped and threatened with a knife in the 2200 block of East Ninth Street.
Pettis County Sheriff’s Office
4:53 p.m.: Tony Rhodes was arrested near the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and state Route TT in Dresden on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
3:47 p.m.: Christmas yard decorations were reported damaged in the 19000 block of 32nd Street Road in Pettis County.
Missouri State Highway Patrol
8:33 a.m.: Lloyd C. Taylor, 23, of Knob Noster, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving and no seat belt.
10:58 a.m.: Mariah L. Minix, 28, and Abram Britton, 39, both of Raytown, were both arrested in Johnson County on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
10:50 a.m.: Shane A. Lappe, 55, of Deepwater, was arrested in Henry County on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving with a revoked license and speeding.
2:54 p.m.: Breauna L. Russell, 23, of Jefferson City, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.
12:35 a.m.: William C. Wilson, 44, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license.
6:58 a.m.: Jason R. Kistner, 41, of Sunrise Beach, was arrested in Morgan County on charges of driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.
12:39 p.m.: Katrina L. Henderson, 23, of St. Louis, was arrested in Saline County on charges of driving with a revoked license, careless and imprudent driving causing a vehicle accident, speeding, no seat belt and leaving the scene of an accident.
6:22 p.m.: Kendrick L. Kalberloh, 29, of Lowry City, and Shawna L. Brzuchalski, 34, of Clinton, were both arrested in Henry County on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
12:05 a.m.: Travis W. Young, 36, of Blue Springs, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving involving an accident.
4:58 p.m.: Harry J. Gensler, 61, of California, Missouri, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of driving while intoxicated, careless, imprudent driving involving an accident and no proof of insurance.
