Kansas City man seriously injured in crash
A Kansas City man sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Joshua L. Stevens, 33, was driving west on state Route 2, west of SW 101 Road, when his vehicle slid off the right side of the road and overturned. It then returned to the road, overturned again and slid off the right side of the road, coming to rest down a steep embankment. Stevens was ejected.
Stevens, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for his injuries.
Holden man injured in Johnson crash
A Holden man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Travis Wickman, 40, was driving north on SW 150st Road, south of SW 400th Road, when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, returned to the road and over-corrected. The vehicle then traveled off the left side of the road, struck the ground and overturned.
Wickman, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Lee’s Summit Medical Center with minor injuries.
