Man arrested for DWI in Henry

A Harrisonville man was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday in Henry County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Verble A. Balducci, 59, was driving east on County Road SE 80, a half mile east of state Route PP, when his vehicle traveled off the road and overturned before coming to rest in a creek.

Balducci, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton with moderate injuries.

A passenger in his vehicle, Julie A. Renfrow, 47, of Clinton, was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and sustained moderate injuries but is seeking her own treatment.

Balducci was also arrested on charges of careless and imprudent driving involving a crash and second degree assault.
