Warrensburg man injured in crash
A Warrensburg man sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 1:55 p.m. Monday in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Robbie E. McCarter, 46, of Warrensburg, was driving west on Business 13 at County Road SE 180 Road, when he was attempting to make a left turn. His vehicle struck a northbound vehicle driven by Nathan A. Larose, 27. Larose’s vehicle then traveled off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
Larose was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for his injuries.
Reports indicate both McCarter and Larose were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Man arrested for DWI in Moniteau
A Mexico, Missouri, man was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 2:30 a.m. Sunday in Moniteau County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Larry D. Stewart, 28, was driving east on state Route D, a half mile west of Brush Creek Road, when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned several times.
Stewart, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.
He was also arrested on a charge of careless and imprudent driving.
