This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 5

2:13 a.m.: Jeffer B. Mohamed, 17, no address given, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Barrett Avenue on charges of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

1:02 p.m.: Shannon D. Davis, 31, of the 1400 block of West 11th Street, was arrested in the 100 block of East Broadway Boulevard on charges of stealing and fraudulent use of a credit device. At 11:37 a.m., a debit card had been reported stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of East Broadway Boulevard and was used for $550 worth of purchases.

9:21 p.m.: Shaun Clinton Paxton, 37, of the 500 block of North Quincy Avenue, was arrested in the 400 block of East Sixth Street on a charge of possession of synthetic narcotics.

Incidents

Jan. 5

5:36 p.m.: A 1991 black Chevy 1500 cab pickup with a gray stripe on the side and a wooden tailgate was reported stolen in the 100 block of East 16th Street.

Arrests

Jan. 5

12:38 p.m.: Janelle J. Mosley, 39, of Belton, was arrested in Henry County on charges of failure to yield, resisting arrest, failure to stop at a stop sign, driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license.

7:50 p.m.: Guy P. Swopes, 52, of Sedalia, was arrested in Saline County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Jan. 6

8:03 a.m.: David D. Campbell, 18, of Prairie Home, was arrested in Moniteau County on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
