A Sedalia man was arrested on drug-related charges after a traffic stop early Wednesday morning.
According to a STING Unit news release, at 3:53 a.m., detectives with the Drug Enforcement Unit were on patrol in the area of West Pettis Street and North Moniteau Avenue when they performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation.
A detective spoke with George W. Mobley, 43, of the 700 block of South Lafayette Avenue, and a passenger. An investigation revealed Mobley was in possession of methamphetamine and related drug paraphernalia.
Mobley has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. He is at the Pettis County Jail on a $7,500 bond, cash or surety. An arraignment took place at 11 a.m. Thursday.
