Arrow Rock Lyceum presents “South Pacific”
ARROW ROCK — The Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre presents the musical “South Pacific.” Evening performances begin at 8 p.m. with matinees at 2 p.m. June 20 through June 28.

Dickie Doo June Showcase
Dickie Doo Bar-B-Que, 4800 S. Limit Ave., will host a Songwriters’ Showcase every Wednesday; a Jam Night every Thursday; and a Gospel Hour every Sunday.

Saturday: Dickie Doo will be the end point for the sixth annual Sedalia Firefighters Local 103 Memorial Run. Bikers are expected to start arriving at the restaurant around 2:30 p.m., with prizes awarded at 4:30 and then free entertainment from the Gypsy Boys starts at around 5 p.m.

Green Ridge celebration
GREEN RIDGE — The Green Ridge Recreational Organization will celebrate 27 years of service with an event from 8 a.m. to midnight Saturday. There will be a 5K run on the Katy Trail beginning at 8 a.m. with activities throughout the day including GRRO T Ball championships, a bounce house a food and beer garden, a radio controlled airplane demonstration, and free hot dogs for children ages 1 to 11. The local band Dirt Road Addiction will play from 8 p.m. to midnight. The cost for the band is $5 and attendees must be at least 21. All activities will take place at the REC unless noted otherwise.
Houstonia Independence Day Bash
HOUSTONIA — The Houstonia Community Club will host an Independence Day event from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday in downtown Houstonia. There will be a car, truck, tractor and motorcycle show, with registration from 10 a.m. to noon; a pie eating contest, a pie baking contest, plus many more activities such as carnival games and face painting throughout the day.
