Clinton man injured in Henry

A Clinton man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 12:18 p.m. Tuesday in Henry County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Chester J. Heilig, 20, of Neosho, was driving north on state Route 13, three-tenths of a mile south of County Road NE 400, when he failed to stop and overtook the rear of another northbound vehicle driven by Zachary R. Powell, 36.

Powell was taken to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Reports indicate both Powell and Heilig were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Knob Noster citizens hurt in crash

Two Knob Noster residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 4:25 p.m. Tuesday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, David D. Hiersche, 58, was driving west on state Route E at County Road NE 1121 when he attempted to turn off the road and crossed into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by Joyce A. Jablonski, 59.

Jablonski’s vehicle struck Hiersche’s vehicle, and both came to rest facing north on Route E.

Hiersche sustained serious injuries and Jablonski sustained moderate injuries. Both were taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for their injuries.

Reports indicate Jablonski was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, but Hiersche was not.

Warrensburg man hurt in wreck

A Warrensburg man sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Scott F. Simmons, 56, of Centerview, was driving west on state Route M at state Route UU when he attempted to turn and was struck by the towed unit of a northbound vehicle driven by Dylan T. McKenzie, 18.

McKenzie was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for his injuries.

Reports indicate both McKenzie and Simmons were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Deepwater woman seriously injured

A Deepwater woman sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday in Henry County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Brandi L. McClure, 27, of Montrose, was driving north on state Route 13 at Deepwater Arm when her vehicle overtook and struck the rear of another northbound vehicle driven by William P. Kelly, 67, of Deepwater.

A passenger in Kelly’s vehicle, Kim D. Hamby, 49, was taken by Life Flight to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for her injuries.

Reports indicate all occupants were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
