Schwalie

Maureen Schwalie will observe her 85th birthday Feb. 16.

She was born Feb. 16, 1931, in North Dakota.

Maureen is a retired registered nurse. She used to enjoy playing on her computer.

She has five children, James Schwalie, of Sedalia, John Schwalie, of Melbourne, Florida, Tom Schwalie, of Crystal Lake, Illinois, Sue Struble, of Springfield, and Richard Schwalie, of Texas; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Lubbering

Paul Lubbering will observe his 83rd birthday Feb. 16.

He was born Feb. 16, 1933, in Vienna, Missouri.

Paul is married to Lillie Lubbering, of Sedalia.

He is a U.S. Army veteran and is retired as a mechanic and farmer. Paul enjoys traveling, playing cards, dancing and is an avid sports fan. He likes to watch St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, University of Missouri Tigers football and basketball and Kansas City Chiefs football.

Paul has eight children, Steve Lubbering and Gary Lubbering, both of Cole Camp, Debbie Walker, of Kansas, Kathy Lubbering, of St. Louis, Gregg Lubbering, of Arkansas, David Lubbering and Tony Lubbering, both of Verona, and Sandy Hollis, of Tennessee; and 17 grandchildren.

Franklin

Dorothy Franklin will observe her 93rd birthday Feb. 19.

She was born Feb. 19, 1923, in La Monte.

Dorothy was married to the late Amos Franklin.

She was a sales clerk and enjoys playing cards, collecting rocks and glass dishes and working jigsaw puzzles.

Dorothy has two children, Carolyn Lee, of Sedalia, and James Franklin, of Lee’s Summit; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Knight

Wilma Knight will observe her 81st birthday Feb. 21.

She was born Feb. 21, 1935, in Sweet Springs.

Wilma was married to the late Joseph Knight.

She is retired as a Home Interiors salesperson.

Wilma has three children, Elaine Treese, of Bonner Springs, Kansas, Dianna Kendall, of Montana, and Doug Knight, of Sedalia; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
