Teen seriously injured in Morgan
A Gravois Mills teenager sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 2:31 p.m. Wednesday in Morgan County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Charles F. Cook, 80, of Stover, was driving east on state Route J as he attempted to make a left turn to state Route 5 when he pulled into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by Jordan W. Fields, 18, of Gravois Mills.
A passenger in Fields’ vehicle, Logan R. Hood, 13, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach for his injuries.
Reports indicate both Cook and Fields were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Man hurt in motorcycle wreck
A California, Missouri, man sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday in Moniteau County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jonathan W. Brethorst, 23, was driving west on Lookout Trail, three-tenths of a mile east of Industrial Road, when his motorcycle traveled off the right side of the road and collided with a ditch. Brethorst was ejected from the vehicle.
Brethorst, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by ambulance to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City for his injuries.
