Law Day cases heard Feb. 16

The following cases were heard in the Circuit Court of Pettis County on Tuesday, Feb. 16, according to information provided by Pettis County Prosecuting Attorney Phillip Sawyer.

Bobby Baker, 22, of Oak Grove, entered a guilty plea to the felony offenses of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and resisting arrest.The charges stem from an Oct. 13, 2015, high speed chase that started within the City of Sedalia and ceased just outside of Warrensburg. The defendant was sentenced to terms of five years in the Department of Corrections on the possession charge and four years for the resisting arrest charge.

Davy Rasa, 24, of Sedalia, entered a guilty plea to two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), one count of resisting arrest and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana. He was sentenced terms of five years in the Department of Corrections for each of the felony possessions, two years for the resisting arrest charge and six months for the misdemeanor possession charge.

Cynthia Krieg, 40, of Sedalia, was sentenced to eight years in the Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to distribution of a controlled substance to a minor.

Megan Foster, 25, of Clinton, entered a guilty plea to the felony of stealing. The defendant was detained while attempting to exit Walmart with approximately $1,000 worth of stolen merchandise. She was sentenced to thee years in the Department of Corrections.

Summer Porch, 23, of Sedalia, was sentenced to five years in the Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to possession of methamphetamine.
