Bothwell Regional Health Center officials are alerting community members to a temporary issue with its new phone system.
According to a news release, Bothwell Regional Health Center went live with a new house-wide phone system at 8 a.m. Thursday. Staff recently discovered that calls made on landlines through providers other than AT&T may have difficulty reaching the hospital. However, calls made on cells phones are going through.
This affects only a very small percentage of callers, but callers who are experiencing difficulty reaching the hospital are encouraged to try using a cell phone. Bothwell staff expect the issue to be resolved early Friday.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; however, please know that it is not impacting patient care in any way,” the release states. “Emergency responders have direct lines to reach the hospital. As always, if you are having a medical emergency, call 911.”
