Warsaw man hurt in crash

A Warsaw man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 12:03 a.m. Tuesday in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jeffrey J. Beardshear, 51, was driving north on state Route 7 at Turkey Creek Hill when he failed to negotiate a curve, causing his vehicle to travel off the right side of the road where it struck a sign and a tree.

Beardshear, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton with minor injuries.

Animal causes vehicle accident

A Warrensburg woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Allison P. Deer, 21, was driving north on state Route 23, a half mile north of NE 500 Road, when she swerved to avoid an animal in the road, causing her vehicle to travel off the right side of the road, where it struck a ditch and overturned.

Deer, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence with minor injuries.

Man hurt in motorcycle crash

A Lincoln man sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 8:39 a.m. Tuesday in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, David M. Dennis, 59, was driving north on state Route B, one mile south of state Route W, when his motorcycle traveled off the right side of the road and overturned, ejecting Dennis.

Dennis, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by air EMS to University Hospital in Columbia for his injuries.
