Cases heard during Monday’s Law Day

The following cases were heard Monday in the Circuit Court of Pettis County, according to information from Pettis County Prosecutor Phillip Sawyer.

Traci R. Rabourn, 32, of Sedalia, entered a guilty plea to felony possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia as a result of a drug-related search warrant executed in October 2015. She was sentenced to five years in the Department of Corrections to be served on the felony charge and 30 days in the Pettis County Jail for the paraphernalia charge

Anthony B. Johnson, 33, of Sedalia, entered a guilty plea to two counts of distribution of a controlled substance (marijuana and methamphetamine) for charges stemming from a drug-related search warrant executed Dec. 8, 2015, during which officers discovered multiple prepackaged baggies of marijuana and ecstasy pills, a methamphetamine-based substance. The defendant was sentenced to seven years in the Department of Corrections to be served on each count.

Brendan P. Wilcox, 24, of Sedalia, entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and two counts of second degree burglary. The defendant was sentenced to seven years in the Department of Corrections to be served on each count.
