This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests


Aug. 8


12:22 p.m.: Jonathan D. Buri, 29, of the 24000 block of West state Route O, was arrested in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard on charges of federal probation violation and driving with a suspended license.


8:41 p.m.: Joseph P. Reardon IV, 39, of Savannah, was arrested near the intersection of state Route P and Clarendon Road on a charge of driving with a revoked license.


10:36 p.m.: Tyler James Hill, 17, of the 1500 block of East 40th Terrace, was arrested in the 2400 block of Clarendon Road on a charge of minor in possession of alcohol.


Aug. 9


12:31 a.m.: Adam Tyler Eckles, 24, of the 1600 block of South Wagner Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of West 16th Street and Sneed Avenue on a charge of driving while intoxicated.


2:08 a.m.: William B. Arnold, 23, of the 7000 block of Whiteburch Road, was arrested in the 2500 block of West 16th Street on a charge of failure to obey.


2:08 a.m.: William E. Stathem, 22, of the 1700 block of South Engineer Avenue, was arrested in the 2500 block of West 16th Street on a charge of failure to obey.


2:08 a.m.: Brandon L. Goodman, 23, of the 20000 block of state Route B, was arrested in the 2500 block of West 16th Street on a charge of failure to obey.


2:08 a.m.: Caleb J. Stathem, 19, of the 1700 block of South Engineer Avenue, was arrested in the 2500 block of West 16th Street on a charge of failure to obey.


2:08 a.m.: Nathaniel B. Morenz, 25, of the 1600 block of Honeysuckle Road, was arrested in the 2500 block of West 16th Street on a charge of failure to obey.


2:38 a.m.: Matthew K. Johnson, 20, of the 1500 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested at his residence on a charge of unlawful use of a weapon and resisting arrest.


6:57 p.m.: David J. Cannon, 35, of the 1100 block of West Fourth Street, was arrested near the intersection of East Sixth Street and Engineer Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.


Aug. 10


2:05 a.m.: Caleb J. Stathem, 19, of the 1700 block of South Engineer Avenue, was arrested in the 2500 block of West 16th Street on a charge of trespassing.


2:05 a.m.: William R. Stathem, 22, of the 2500 block of West 16th Street, was arrested in the 2500 block of West 16th Street on a charge of trespassing.


10:15 a.m.: Franscisco Morales, 22, of the 22000 block of North U.S. 65 Highway, was arrested near the intersection of West Third Street and Harrison Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.


Incidents


Aug. 8


12:47 p.m.: A backpack was reported stolen by a victim in the 100 block of East Walnut Street while on an OATS bus Aug. 5.


12:51 p.m.: Undisclosed items were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 700 block of East 17th Street.


2:55 p.m.: Vandalism was reported in the 1500 block of East 16th Street when it was discovered vulgar words had been spray-painted on the walking trail in Centennial Park.


3:01 p.m.: A victim in the 1800 block of South Lafayette Avenue reported their credit card number had been used and $200 was missing from the account.


4:39 p.m.: A hit-and-run was reported in the 3200 block of West 16th Street.


5:31 p.m.: A victim in the 600 block of North Grand Avenue reported camera equipment had been stolen at an unknown location.


6:50 p.m.: A phone case, valued at $25, was reported stolen from a mailbox in the 300 block of North Heard Avenue.


8:25 p.m.: A purse, wallet and phone, all valued at $1,500, were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 24000 block of Spring Fork Road.


Aug. 9


3:18 a.m.: Two victims reported a male subject entered their residence in the 3100 block of Brianna Drive while they were sleeping, and they were alerted to his presence as the subject was leaving the residence.


6:55 a.m.: A purse was reported found in an alley with its contents strewn about the alley in the 900 block of South Vermont Avenue, and the purse’s owner reported her vehicle’s front passenger window was broken.


8:30 a.m.: A wallet was found near the intersection of West 32nd Street and South Limit Avenue.


10:37 a.m.: A bicycle was found in the front yard of a residence in the 1000 block of East Sixth Street.


11:48 a.m.: A hit-and-run was reported in a parking lot in the 3200 block of Broadway Boulevard.


12:57 p.m.: Two gallon-sized Ziploc bags filled with hundreds of pills were reported found in the bathroom of a business in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard.


2:30 p.m.: A victim in the 2200 block of West Third Street reported checks stolen, forged and cashed.


2:37 p.m.: Undisclosed items were reported stolen from a business in the 3200 block of Broadway Boulevard.


4:38 p.m.: A 2013 Chevrolet Spark was reported stolen from a driveway in the 400 block of West Second Street.


Aug. 10


8:49 a.m.: A purse was reported found in the street in the 100 block of South Grand Avenue.


9:07 a.m.: A wallet was reported stolen in the 2500 block of West 16th Street.


11:56 a.m.: $2 in change was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 1000 block of South Missouri Avenue.
