Bothwell Regional Health Center has announced Rheumatologists Dr. Basem Awadh and Dr. Connie Teng have joined Bothwell Internal Medicine.

Rheumatologists Dr. Basem Awadh and Dr. Connie Teng are replacing Dr. Anmol Dhillon, who relocated with her husband after he finished a cardiology fellowship earlier this year. Both specialists will provide care for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, connective tissue diseases, gout, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, and other autoimmune diseases.

Awadh obtained his medical degree at Damascus University, Faculty of Medicine in Syria. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and a fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.

Teng obtained her medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. She also completed a fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.

Both specialists will provide care for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, connective tissue diseases, gout, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, and other autoimmune diseases.

Bothwell Internal Medicine accepts most insurance plans and Medicare and Medicaid assignment. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
