March 26-27 Police Reports

This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

March 24

10:29 p.m.: Jose Antonio Villafana, 28, of the 2800 block of Ingram Avenue, was arrested in the 500 block of South Ohio Avenue on charges of resisting arrest and third degree assault on a law enforcement officer. Maria Lorenza Motley, 44, of the 6600 block of West U.S. Highway 50, was arrested on a charge of /failure to obey/resisting arrest.

Officers responded to a business for a possible disturbance. Upon arrival, three subjects were found outside intoxicated and yelling. As officers began to approach them, the subjects escalated the situation by fighting. After a brief struggle all three subjects were placed into custody and taken to the Pettis County Jail.

Billy J. Rogers, 38, of Warsaw, was released with a municipal court summons for possession of marijuana.

5:06 p.m.: A burglary was reported in the 30000 block of state Route U in Sedalia.
