April 19 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

March 20

12:44 p.m.: Heather Diane Gallowy, 20, of the 200 block of East 13th Street, was issued a municipal court summons at her residence for animal abuse. An animal control officer investigated a report of a malnourished dog.

April 13

6:30 p.m.: Amber Dawn Aldrich, 24, of the 1000 block of East Seventh Street, was arrested in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard on a charge of stealing.

10:37 p.m.: Whitney S. Martz, 18, of the 2500 block of Anderson Avenue, was issued a municipal court summons in the 1700 block of West Broadway Boulevard for public peace disturbance. The suspect reportedly threw a cup of liquid on the victim.

April 15

2:55 p.m.: Matthew Morgan Thomas, 24, of the 1700 block of East Seventh Street, was issued a municipal court summons in the 1400 block of East Seventh Street for animals biting or attacking persons and animals running at large. An animal control officer responded to a report of two dogs that attacked and killed several rabbits.

April 16

5:17 p.m.: Brianna N. Johnson, 31, of the 27000 block of Greissen Road, was arrested near the intersection of West 10th Street and Winchester Road on charges of first degree trespassing and driving with a revoked license. Officers stopped her vehicle after a report that she had been inside a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard where she had been issued a trespassing warning.

9:57 p.m.: Sebrina M. Alarcon, 18, of the 400 block of West Sixth Street, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of stealing.

April 17

1:01 a.m.: Saul Juarez Rodriguez, 20, of the 600 block of West Fourth Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Seventh Street and South Missouri Avenue on charges of driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana. Officers responded to a vehicle accident where a vehicle struck a parked vehicle. Investigation revealed the driver was intoxicated at the time of the accident and marijuana was found in his vehicle.

5:30 p.m.: Gregory Christian, 51, of the 2300 block of Lewis Circle, was arrested near the intersection of West Seventh Street and South Kentucky Avenue on a charge of driving with a revoked license.

Incidents

April 15

1 p.m.: An employee reportedly stole two bottles of R22 Freon, valued at $1,800, from a business in the 2500 block of West Main Street. At the time of the report, the employee no longer worked at the business.

April 16

2:07 p.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported in a business parking lot in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard.

April 17

4:01 p.m.: A structure fire was reported in the 1200 block of East Fifth Street in an unoccupied garage. The cause of the fire is believed to be intentionally set.

4:46 p.m.: A house fire was reported in the 1200 block of South Murray Avenue. The Sedalia Fire Department also responded and extinguished the fire. The garage and parts of the outside of the residence were damaged. After an SPD officer interviewed several witnesses, it was determined who the juvenile suspects were. The suspects were taken to the police station and interviewed with their parents and a juvenile officer. A juvenile referral was made.

April 18

3:42 a.m.: SPD officers assisted Pettis County Sheriff’s Office deputies at the Super 7 Motel in the 5600 block of South Limit Avenue when deputies located the suspect vehicle from a shooting incident in Marshall. While at the hotel, one suspect was located and arrested. The second suspect arrived at the hotel, noticed officers and fled in the vehicle. Officers pursued the vehicle south on U.S. Highway 65 and near U.S. Highway 65 and Rose Road the suspect turned around and traveled north on U.S. 65. Officers deployed stop sticks, disabling the suspect vehicle’s tires. Near U.S. 65 and Heck Avenue, the suspect fled on foot and was apprehended after a short foot chase.

Arrests

April 17

1:59 a.m.: Zeke L. Dunnaway, 54, of Versailles, was arrested in Morgan County on charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right half of the road, possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

10:23 p.m.: Olen C. Eckhoff, 45, of La Monte, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.

April 18

11:55 a.m.: Zachary T. Hein, 27, of Bunceton, was arrested in Saline County on charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
