April 21 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

April 18

10 a.m.: Gregory Christian, 51, of the 2300 block of Lewis Circle, was issued a municipal court summons near the intersection of South Lamine Avenue and East 17th Street for driving with a revoked license.

April 19

8:45 a.m.: Chad W. Wagenknecht, 25, of Smithton, was arrested near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and Prestwick Farms Road on charges of driving with a revoked license and unlawful possession of a concealable weapon.

5:38 p.m.: Sherrell A. Peck, 35, of the 1000 block of West Third Street, was arrested in the 1100 block of West Third Street on charges of first degree burglary and second degree assault. Officers responded to a disturbance in the area and upon arrival all the subjects had returned to their respective residences. Allegedly a verbal disturbance began when the victim yelled at her children to get in the house and one of the suspects believed the victim was yelling at her children. The suspects challenged the victim, went into her residence and began to assault her. Another subject in the residence was able to separate the suspects and the victim. The other suspect left the area and could not be located.

Incidents

April 19

11:34 a.m.: A female victim reported she was assaulted by her boyfriend in the 900 block of East Fourth Street. The suspect allegedly stole three bottles of medication, valued at $140, and a container of face cream, valued at $25.

April 20

11:32 a.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported in the 1600 block of West Heck Avenue involving a silver 2004 Kia Sorento. The vehicle had minor damage to the driver’s side door with white or silver paint transfer.

April 20

1:40 p.m.: Jalyn O. Olubo, 21, of Kansas City, was arrested in Saline County on charges of speeding and no seat belt.
