This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

April 22

10:42 a.m.: Sandra L. French, 36, of the 400 block of North Quincy Avenue in Sedalia, was arrested in the 1500 block of Thompson Boulevard on charges of burglary in the second degree and stealing from a building from her stepfather’s business.

7:21 p.m.:Matthew S. Wallen, 32, of Marshall, was arrested near the intersection of East 16th Street and South Marvin Avenue on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and a warrant for failure to appear out of Benton County following a traffic stop.

Incidents

April 22

4 p.m.: A reports of theft by stealing was taken in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard.

April 23

A report of assault was taken in the 1700 block of West 16th Street at a nursing home after a worker reported that a resident scratched, punched and kicked her. Assault charges are pending.

Missouri State Highway Patrol

Arrests

April 24

1:27 a.m.: Zachary L. McCowen, 21, of Blue Springs was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on right half of roadway, no seat belt and no insurance.

1:49 a.m.: Jason Quinlan, 43, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

5:45 a.m.: Alexander T. Alexander, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on right half of roadway.

2:15 p.m.: Loren D. Wood, 53, of Concordia, was arrested in Johnson County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
