This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Incidents

May 25

10:20 a.m.: A window, valued at $100, was reported broken at an apartment in the 400 block of East Seventh Street.

1:15 p.m.: A door was forced open and subjects entered the basement of a residence in the 1700 block of South Vermont Avenue. The subjects allegedly stole a Skil saw, metric wrenches and Allen wrenches, combined value or $100. The victim reported that other items had been moved or hidden in the residence, supposedly by the subjects.

Arrests

May 24

12:42 a.m.: John Roger Dory, of Sedalia, was arrested near the intersection of state Route U and U.S. Highway 50 in Sedalia on charges of driving with a revoked license, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, displaying the license plates of another person, no seat belt, no proof of insurance and failure to register a motor vehicle with the Department of Revenue.
