This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

May 26

8:38 p.m.: Douglas Edward Ditzfeld, 55, of the 300 block of East Second Street, was arrested in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard on a charge of stealing. The suspect allegedly concealed items on his person and attempted to leave the business without paying, according to a loss prevention officer at the business.

May 27

2:18 p.m.: Donald D. Webb, 50, of the 500 block of West Jefferson Street, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of stealing. The suspect allegedly stole two watches, one of which was recovered, and a bottle of cologne, combined value of $82.73, from a business.

May 28

4:19 p.m.: Richard Len Craig, 40, of the 500 block of West 18th Street, was arrested at his residence on charges of two counts of third degree domestic assault, third degree assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and first degree property damage. Officers responded to a report of a domestic assault. They made contact with the victim, who said the suspect was in the basement. Officers entered the basement and after a short struggle they took him into custody.

May 29

3 a.m.: Amber Lynn Hendricks, 28, of the 400 block of Buckner Court, was arrested at her residence on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers arrived looking for a subject with a warrant. They made contact with the residence’s occupant, who allowed them to search. Officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana and also located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

7:36 a.m.: Jeffery L. Waters, 51, of the 500 block of East Fifth Street, was arrested in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard on a charge of stealing. The suspect allegedly stole two bottles of alcohol and a can of beer, combined value of about $20, from a business.

May 30

1:58 a.m.: Rhonda Sue Clawson, 53, and Peter Jeffery Clawson, 47, both of the 2000 block of East Broadway Boulevard, were both arrested in the 1600 block of East Sixth Street on charges of second degree burglary, second degree property damage, stealing and possession of burglary tools. Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress. They located two subjects at the residence and investigation revealed the back door was forced open.

Incidents

May 28

7:39 p.m.: A subject reported her back door was open when she returned home to her residence in the 2400 block of West Second Street and saw a person jumping over the fence in her backyard. A tablet and various prescription medication, combined value of $735, were reported missing from her residence.

May 29

9:16 p.m.: A laptop, valued at $399, was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked at a residence near the intersection of East Fifth Street and South Moniteau Avenue.

9:27 p.m.: A rock was reportedly thrown through the window of an apartment in the 600 block of West Third Street by an unknown subject.

May 28

8:12 p.m.: A statutory rape and statutory sodomy was reported in an unknown location in Pettis County.

Arrests

May 27

8:24 p.m.: Chad J. Busick, 28, of Clinton, was arrested in Henry County on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license.

May 29

6:26 p.m.: Dasa M. Ilu, 33, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, careless and imprudent driving by texting and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.

6:41 p.m.: Robert C. Stover, 41, of Slater, was arrested in Saline County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
