This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

May 30

10:50 p.m.: David J. Bennett, 42, no address given, was arrested near the intersection of East 15th Street and South Marvin Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license, resisting arrest and leaving the scene of an accident. An officer conducted a traffic stop for a minor violation but the suspect continued to drive. The suspect then left the vehicle and continued on foot. The suspect was later located and arrested.

Incidents

May 30

10:09 p.m.: A black Honda 450R ATV, valued at $3,000, was reported stolen from a residence in the 600 block of East 11th Street. The victim said he was awakened by the sound of the ATV starting and then leaving the area. He went to the garage and discovered the garage door was damaged and the ATV was missing.

Arrests

May 30

10:55 a.m.: James R. Caskey, 57, of Clinton, was arrested in Henry County on charges of driving while intoxicated, no seat belt and failure to stop at a stop sign.

9:46 p.m.: Andi R. Chastain, 28, of Pittsburg, was arrested in Benton County on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving involving an accident.

10:30 p.m.: Jeremy S. Taylor, 42, of Calhoun, was arrested in Henry County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
