June 23 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 20

2:46 a.m.: Richard Len Craig, 47, of the 500 block of West 18th Street, was arrested at his residence on a charge of harassment. A male subject allegedly made threats to a female subject. The male was found at the residence early the next morning.

11:16 a.m.: Erika Urieta VillaSenor, 37, of the 2400 block of Albert Lee Avenue, was arrested in the 4300 block of Wisconsin Drive on a charge of stealing. A loss prevention officer at the business told officers they had video of two females shoplifting two pairs of shorts, valued at $52. The suspect was located and arrested.

4:58 p.m.: Christopher E. Demus, 26, of the 900 block of South Merriam Avenue, was arrested at his residence on a charge of third degree assault. A victim reported she was assaulted by a male subject known to her. The suspect was gone by the time officers arrived. The victim had injuries to her jaw and mouth. The suspect was arrested later in the day.

June 21

3:17 a.m.: Christopher Wayne Mathis, 38, no address given, was arrested in the 1600 block of East Broadway Boulevard on a charge of stealing. Upon arrival at the business, officers made contact with the suspect, who admitted to stealing from the business.

Incidents

June 21

7:14 p.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported near the intersection of North Grand Avenue and West Main Street.

June 22

12:58 a.m.: A victim reported that while at home in the 600 block of South Moniteau Avenue a subject known to him attempted to enter his residence. As he tried to stop the subject, the subject struck the victim in the face and ran away. Officers conducted a brief search but the subject was not located.

1:02 p.m.: Brandon L. Paxton, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on a charge of second degree assault.
