July 7 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

July 4

12:38 a.m.: Gary D. Horn, 30, of the 1300 block of East Seventh Street, was arrested near the intersection of South Kentucky Avenue and West Second Street on charges of three counts of third degree assault, three counts of harassment, peace disturbance and third degree assault on a law enforcement officer.

July 5

9:54 a.m.: Amanda L. Taber, 29, of the 200 block of South Prospect Avenue, was arrested at her residence on a charge of third degree domestic assault.

11:15 a.m.: Roman A. Tsapok, 35, of the 3700 block of Chapel Road, was arrested in the 2100 block of Pro Energy Drive on a charge of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.

7:25 p.m.: Elane K. Peters, 35, of Tipton, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of stealing.

Incidents

July 3

9:14 p.m.: $10.02 worth of gas was reported stolen from a business in the 3000 block of South Limit Avenue.

July 4

12:55 a.m.: A residence was reported ransacked in the 500 block of East Boonville Street, and several unspecified items were reported stolen.

10:20 p.m.: $40 was reported stolen from a residence in the 900 block of Mitchell Road.

July 5

1:15 a.m.: A suspect reportedly stabbed a victim in the 700 block of South Lafayette Avenue. The suspect and the victim reportedly left the area together. The suspect was not located.

3:29 a.m.: Three young males reportedly shoplifted several unspecified items from a business in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard. The subjects were last seen walking eastbound on 10th Street from Marvin Avenue.

2:34 p.m.: A vehicle was reported “keyed” while parked at a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard.

3:37 p.m.: A sliding glass door on the east side of a residence in the 600 block of North Stewart Avenue was reported shattered by what appeared to by a BB gun.

8:07 p.m.: A victim reported someone threw a lit firecracker at her and her three children as they were walking near the intersection of East Sixth Street and South Lafayette Avenue. No injuries were reported.

10:11 p.m.: A witness reported seeing a black male push a white female to the ground in the 500 block of South Kentucky Avenue and begin punching her. The male left in a black Volkswagen car and the female left walking. Officers were unable to find the suspect nor the victim.

Arrests

July 5

4:18 a.m.: Ronnie L. Price Jr., was arrested near the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and state Route M on charges of driving with a suspended license, no proof of insurance, no seat belt and no tail-lights.

Incidents

July 4

2:43 a.m.: A victim reported he was assaulted by a subject known to him in the 100 block of Parker Street.

July 5

1:40 a.m.: Deputies responded to a large party in the 23400 block of Hall Road. When deputies arrived, subjects started to run and flee the area. During the investigation, deputies seized approximately 30 grams of marijuana, prescription medication and drug paraphernalia.

July 6

4:35 a.m.: A subject reportedly entered a residence in the 2900 block of Westlake Drive while the resident was sleeping.

Arrests

July 3

8:05 p.m.: Carolyn S. Estes, 70, of Kansas City, was arrested in Morgan County on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving with a revoked license, and failure to drive on the right half of the road.

9:11 p.m.: Madison N. Davis, 23, of Wood Heights, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of driving while intoxicated and possession of drug paraphernalia.

10:46 p.m.: Dewayne A. Hatfield, 47, of Gravois Mills, was arrested in Morgan County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

11:35 p.m.: Michael S. Oliver, 47, of Paola, Kan., was arrested in Saline County on charges of driving while intoxicated and no driver’s license.

July 4

2:05 a.m.: Martin D. Elmore, 47, of Waynesville, was arrested in Benton County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

6:45 p.m.: Geriad L. Bobinett, 34, of Marshall, was arrested in Saline County on charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to stay in the right half of the road, and no insurance.

9:10 p.m.: Randy M. Poe, 62, of Warsaw, was arrested in Benton County on charges of driving while intoxicated and child younger than 7 with no personal flotation device.

July 5

1:15 a.m.: Cameron J. Coble, 36, of Bucyrus, Kan., was arrested in Henry County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

2:53 p.m.: Earl T. Krum, 47, of Warsaw, was arrested in Benton County on charges of driving while intoxicated, speeding and no seat belt.

3:12 p.m.: Michael M. Flegler, 35, of Clinton, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of speeding and driving while intoxicated.

8:25 p.m.: Dustin E. Turner, 28, of Jefferson City, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving with a revoked license and speeding.
