This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 29

12:49 a.m.: Kevin D. Gaither, 22, of the 700 block of East Fourth Street, was arrested at his residence on a charge of third degree domestic assault. Officers responded to a physical disturbance and upon arrival found a male and female subject having a verbal argument within the residence. It was discovered the female had an injury to the head caused by the male. She was taken by the Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

2:2o a.m.: Anthony Terrell Jones, 27, no address given, was arrested in the 400 block of Albright Court on charges of unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a concealable weapon. An officer responded to a subject check. Upon arrival, he saw the male step around the corner of the building. The officer made contact with the man, who was intoxicated, and located a handgun in his possession that the man tried to discard.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests

June 28

3:18 p.m.: Michelle Renee Bailey, of Windsor, was arrested near the intersection of state Route AA and Turner Road in Pettis County on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Deputies conducted a vehicle check and discovered a man to have a warrant and Bailey was in possession of a controlled substance.

June 29

12:50 a.m.: John D. Yager was arrested in the 10000 block of state Route B in Green Ridge on a charge of driving with a revoked license.

Incidents

June 28

5:13 p.m.: Six mailboxes were reported hit in the 1200 block of Elm Hills Boulevard in Sedalia. Witnesses said it was a hit-and-run incident and the suspect vehicle was described as a silver Pontiac around a 2003 model with front end damage.

June 29

10:32 a.m.: Darrell W. Doron, 58, of Kansas City, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of displaying the license plates of another vehicle, no insurance, no seat belt and driving with a revoked license.
