This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 29

5:20 a.m.: Sandra L. Sweet, 58, of Florence, was issued a summons to appear in court in the 400 block of East Broadway Boulevard on a charge of stealing by shoplifting.

11:20 a.m.: Miranda A. French, 19, of the 400 block of East Seventh Street in Sedalia, was issued a summons to appear in court in the 700 block of East Broadway on a charge of theft by stealing of $11.89 worth of hair products.

June 30

2:43 p.m.: Clinton James Carney, 27, of Sweet Springs, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and Curry Avenue on a charge of forgery of a temporary license plate.

July 1

11:44 a.m.: Aullnie Le Colvin, 40, of the 1100 block of East 15th Street was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

July 3

8:28 a.m.: Patricio Reyes-Gomez, 24, of the 3100 block of Brianna Boulevard in Sedalia, was arrested near the intersection of West 16th Street and Water Tower Road on a charge of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Incidents

June 29

10:15 a.m.: A theft of a front license plate off of a Dodge van was reported in the 100 block of East Fifth Street.

July 1

10:10 a.m.: A report of theft by stealing of money from a bank card was reported in the 1100 block of West Third Street.

July 2

4:40 p.m.: A report of an assault was taken in the 240 block of East Quincy Avenue. No arrests were made.

Arrests

6:22 p.m.: Austin Dotson, age unknown, of Sedalia, was arrested on Covered Bridge Road on a charge of felony resisting arrest after deputies attempted to stop a red Chevrolet Blazer on Forest Park Road for no license plates. Doton failed to pull over and a pursuit ensued. Missouri State Highway Patrol officers joined the pursuit to Pacific School Road where Highway Patrol officers were able deploy stop sticks in the roadway. Dotson then fled on foot and was later apprehended by deputies.

July 1

Mariah K. Smith, 19, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and no seat belt.

July 2

2:07 a.m.: James F. Warren, 28, of Boonville, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated and a stop sign violation.

July 3

1:11 a.m.: Bryan S. Fletcher, 40, of Lee’s Summit, was arrested in Henry County on charges of felony driving while intoxicated, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to approach a right turn as practicable to right edge of roadway and failure to signal.

1:19 a.m.: Barbara E. Martin, 55, of Clinton, was arrested in Henry County on charges of driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child.

2:24 a.m.: Christopher R. Compton, 40, of Clinton, was arrested in Henry County on charges of driving while intoxicated, speeding and a lane violation.

3:58 a.m.: Kevin T. Shelton, 21, of Mosheim, Tennessee, was arrested in Johnson County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
