This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

July 5

9:37 a.m.: Dawn Marie Elkins, 41, of Warrensburg, was arrested near the intersection of West Main Street and Metallic Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

2:09 p.m.: Warren H. Jackson, 61, of the 2800 block of South Ingram Avenue, was arrested at his residence on a charge of trespassing. Officers received a report of a trespass violation at a business and were told the man had already left. The man was later located at his residence.

8:21 p.m.: Trey Jahmeil Hayes, 28, of the 300 block of East Chestnut Street, was arrested near the intersection of East Sixth Street and South Lafayette Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

9:16 p.m.: Nakesha Latrice Windfield, 25, of the 300 block of Scott Joplin Court, was issued a municipal court summons at her residence for assault. A victim reported the suspect arrived at her residence in the 300 block of West Sixth Street and hit her in the face and pulled her hair, then left the residence. The victim sustained minor injuries to the face but declined medical treatment.

July 6

2:01 a.m.: Jacob Michael Snyder, 28, no address given, was arrested near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Massachusetts Avenue on charges of distributing marijuana, possession of marijuana and identity theft. Dylan Lamar Pendley, 18, of Warsaw, was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana. An officer conducted a traffic stop after a vehicle performed two improper stops at intersections. Upon making contact with the driver and passenger, he detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. He located a small amount of marijuana on the passenger and a search of the vehicle revealed a larger amount.

July 4

11:48 a.m.: A GPS, valued at $179, was reported stolen from a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard.

July 5

11:19 a.m.: A victim reported when she returned to her apartment in the 600 block of South Washington Avenue after doing laundry on a different floor in the building, she discovered her purse was missing, which contained $600, medications and identification cards.

12:46 p.m.: A window was reported broken on the north side of a residence in the 700 block of South Engineer Avenue and unspecified items, valued at $240, were reported stolen from the backyard.

Arrests

July 3

8:15 p.m.: Caleb E. Buckmaster, 23, of Kansas City, was arrested in Morgan County on charges of tampering with a motor vehicle and driving while intoxicated.

July 4

2:49 a.m.: Harpreet S. Gill, 22, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving the wrong way and no front license plate.

3:26 p.m.: Tristan N. Gunn, 23, of Columbia, was arrested in Saline County on charges of possession of a controlled substance, driving with a revoked license and failure to register a motor vehicle.

8:40 p.m.: Melissa A. Johnston, 42, of Camdenton, was arrested in Henry County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

10:30 p.m.: Robert L. Jennings, 35, of Marco Island, Florida, was arrested in Morgan County on charges of driving while intoxicated, speeding and no seat belt.
