July 26 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

July 22

10:38 a.m.: Natalie M. Wingerter, 29, of the 2800 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested at her residence on a charge of making a false report. SPD officers were involved in a vehicle pursuit and shortly after, Wingerter called SPD to report a stolen vehicle, which was the same vehicle from the pursuit. The suspect in the pursuit was Wingerter’s boyfriend. Messages were located between Wingerter and another person where she tells the person her boyfriend got the vehicle impounded after a vehicle pursuit.

10:48 p.m.: Darci L. Shipley, 55, of the 700 block of East 16th Street, was arrested near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Engineer Avenue on charges of driving while intoxicated and second degree assault. Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident. During the investigation it was determined one of the drivers was intoxicated.

July 23

9:04 p.m.: Emilio G. Olivos Baltazar, 39, of the 1500 block of South Harrison Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of West 16th Street and South Warren Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

July 24

1:23 a.m.: Juan M. Herrera, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested in the 1100 block of East Broadway Boulevard on charges of first degree burglary, sexual misconduct, third degree assault, and resisting arrest. Officers responded to a possible burglary-in-progress. Contact was made with the caller who said he found and caught a man who had unlawfully entered his residence and assaulted his sister.

3:29 a.m.: Wendy Gail Calhoon, 29, of the 300 block of East Saline Street, was arrested at her residence on a charge of third degree assault. She allegedly assaulted two subjects who also live at the residence. Both victims had minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

July 25

1:45 a.m.: Shelia Lorraine Humphrey, 45, of the 800 block of West Henry Avenue, was issued a municipal court summons near the intersection of East 11th Street and South Porter Avenue for possession of marijuana. A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle not using a turn signal. During the investigation it was found the passenger was in possession of marijuana.

2:25 a.m.: Victor Seth Ryan Kee, 17, of Columbia, was arrested near the intersection of East Fourth Street and South Lamine Avenue on charges of felonious restraint, first degree tampering with a motor vehicle, resisting arrest and first degree property damage. An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle reported stolen out of Columbia. When the officer activated his emergency lights, the suspect vehicle began accelerating. The officer pursued the vehicle until it hit a curb in the Bothwell Regional Health Center parking lot. Both subjects began running for a short distance. Both subjects were detained. The passenger was released at the scene without charges and the driver was taken to the Pettis County Jail.

Incidents

July 24

11:49 a.m.: Three bottles of alcohol, valued at $120, were reported stolen from a business in the 3800 block of East Broadway Boulevard.

7:12 p.m.: A .40 caliber pistol, valued at $205, was reported stolen while the victim was at a friend’s residence in the 400 block of Albright Court. There are two suspects.

Arrests

July 24

3:37 p.m.: Jeffrey L. Osburn, 53, of Warsaw, was arrested in Benton County on charges of leaving the scene of an accident, driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident and no insurance.

4:10 p.m.: Jordan G. Prescott, 30, of Kansas City, Kansas, was arrested in Benton County on a charge of driving with a revoked license.

10:04 p.m.: Matthew E. Jeremias, 38, of Marissa, Illinois, was arrested in Saline County on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

10:09 p.m.: Robert R. Winkelmann, 38, of Lenzburg, Illinois, was arrested in Saline County on a charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
