July 30-31 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

July 27

5:05 p.m.: April D. Peterson, 26, of the 900 block of East Sixth Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Grand Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

July 28

6:57 a.m.: Michael D. Nutt, 64, of the 700 block of North Grand Avenue, was arrested at his residence on a charge of felony possession of marijuana. An officer was on routine patrol in the area when he smelled a strong odor of marijuana. After an investigation, he and another officer located the suspect on the back porch of his residence smoking marijuana. Further investigation revealed he was in possession of approximately 38 grams of marijuana.

May 31

11:18 a.m.: Child molestation was reported in the 1300 block of Walker.

July 27

7:20 a.m.: A female victim reported she was assaulted by a suspect who stole her property in the 1300 block of South Moniteau Avenue. She said the suspect also prevented her from leaving her residence. She did not require hospitalization. There is a suspect in the case.

4:33 p.m.: A sex crime incident involving another family member that allegedly occurred last year was reported in the 300 block of North Heard Avenue.

Arrests

July 28

10:44 a.m.: Jacob L. Speck, 22, of Franklin, was arrested in Saline County on charges of possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

10:44 a.m.: Noah W. Garnett, 20, of Bardwell, Kentucky, was arrested in Saline County on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of LSD and possession of drug paraphernalia.

1:50 p.m.: Mickie A. Dominis, 30, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County on a charge of first degree promoting child pornography.

7:15 p.m.: Jacqueline T. Reynolds, 32, of Independence, was arrested in Benton County on charges of operating a vessel while intoxicated and operating a motor boat in a careless and imprudent manner.
