This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
Sedalia Police Department
2:28 p.m.: Bradley J. Bottcher, 30, of the 1400 block of South Moniteau Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of West 12th Street and South Moniteau Avenue on a charge of stealing.
9:52 p.m.: Joshua C. Kidwell, 22, of the 600 block of North Quincy Avenue, was arrested in the 1700 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of driving with a revoked license.
10:17 a.m.: Davy Joe Rasa, 23, of the 1300 block of East Sixth Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Saline Street and Welch Court on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
3:36 p.m.: Nicholas T. Smith, 22, of the 1800 block of South Barrett Avenue, was arrested in the 1700 block of South Osage Avenue on charges of abuse of a child and third degree domestic assault.
8:05 a.m.: A glass marijuana smoking pipe was found on the ground in the 400 block of West Third Street.
10:37 a.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported in the 900 block of Winchester Drive.
4:15 p.m.: $20 worth of gas was reported stolen by a white male in a gray pickup truck from a business in the 1600 block of East Broadway Boulevard.
5:37 p.m.: A victim reported she believed someone had been inside her residence in the 400 block of East Sixth Street while she was gone. No forced entry was found, and no items were reported missing.
5:43 p.m.: A Missouri license plate was found near the intersection of West Ninth Street and South Harrison Avenue.
9:31 p.m.: A bicycle was reported stolen in the 600 block of East 10th Street.
9:46 p.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident, damaging two vehicles, was reported in a business parking lot in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard.
1:34 a.m.: A complainant reported a subject attempted to steal an ATV from his property in the 1500 block of South Vermont Avenue, but he ran off when the complainant came outside. There was minor damage, valued at $50, to the ignition switch.
4:20 a.m.: A window was reported broken, a cash register door was open and an undisclosed amount of loose change was stolen from a business in the 2400 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The suspects were gone prior to officer arrival.
4:20 a.m.: A window was reported broken at a business in the 2300 block of West Broadway Boulevard. Nothing was reported missing.
8:57 a.m.: A back door was reported broken, the back porch was damaged and the front door dead bolt was taken off from the inside at a residence in the 900 block of West Third Street. An extension cord and a battery from a Cub Cadet riding lawn mower were reported stolen from the backyard. Items stolen and damage was estimated at $580.
10:56 a.m.: A wallet containing personal items, valued at $60, was reported stolen in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard.
1:35 p.m.: All four tires were reported cut on a vehicle near the intersection of West 11th Street and South Osage Avenue.
9:57 p.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported at a residence in the 1100 block of West Second Street.
3:44 a.m.: A male subject was reportedly going through a vehicle in the 2200 block of West First Street. The caller scared the subject, who then ran away from the area on foot. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.
1:46 p.m.: A victim in the 1300 block of East Seventh Street reported their debit card, which has been missing for a week, was used at a local business.
Pettis County Sheriff’s Office
10:56 p.m.: Luis Jamenez Diaz, of Sedalia, was arrested in the 2800 block of Monsees Drive on charges of second degree domestic assault and resisting arrest.
11:16 p.m.: Steven J. Goldacker, of the 1200 block of Elm Hills Boulevard, was arrested at his residence on a charge of third degree domestic assault.
1:01 a.m.: A burglary was reported in the 1300 block of Boonville Road.
Missouri State Highway Patrol
12:42 p.m.: Tonia K. Reid, 46, of Clinton, was arrested in Henry County on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license.
11:16 p.m.: Douglas W. Hampton, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right half of the road and resisting arrest.
