Sept. 24-25 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Sept. 21

9:11 p.m.: Sean Sebastian Burke, 45, no address given, was arrested near the intersection of East 16th Street and South Washington Avenue on a charge of first degree peace disturbance. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance. The victim said the suspect was making threats to “beat her up” and “shoot” her. The suspect arrived on scene shortly after.

Sept. 22

5:54 a.m.: Angela Ilene Teeter, 37, of the 400 block of Albright Court, was arrested near the intersection of West 10th Street and South Kentucky Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

9:18 a.m.: Mario Alberto Madrid, 33, of the 300 block of North 10th Street, was arrested in the 700 block of West 16th Street on a charge of stealing. A Hispanic male reportedly took a can of beer from a business and left the store with it in his pants pocket. An employee tried to get the man to pay but he kept walking. The man was identified via surveillance system footage. An officer made contact with the man and arrested him, and he admitted to stealing the beer. Due to prior similar offenses, rather than issue a municipal court summons the man was arrested.

Incidents

Sept. 18

8:11 p.m.: An electronic tablet was reported stolen from a locked work vehicle parked in the front yard of a residence in the 200 block of South Prospect Avenue while the employee was home on a break.

Sept. 21

10:22 p.m.: A victim reported a taxi he drives was broken into in the 200 block of South Prospect Avenue. The door was allegedly opened with a wedge and rod kit, and a fuel card used by the taxi service was reported stolen.

Sept. 22

7:06 a.m.: A burglary was reported at a business in the 1200 block of West 16th Street. A back window was broken and a change jar, containing about $200 worth of change, was stolen. Officers are reviewing security camera footage.

1:57 p.m.: A handgun was reported found in a bathroom in the 3000 block of South Limit Avenue.

2:32 p.m.: Tools, valued at $700, were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard. One of the vehicle’s windows was also reported broken.

Arrests

Sept. 22

3:48 p.m.: Zachary W. Oxford, 18, of Versailles, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding.

5:13 p.m.: Daryl L. Clinton, 26, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and driving with a suspended license.

Sept. 23

2:05 a.m.: Kyle J. Hull, 24, of Knob Noster, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to register a vehicle and no license plate light.
