July 25-26 Police Reports

This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

July 23

2:54 p.m.: Jamie L. Harden, 37, of the 800 block of West Fifth Street, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of stealing.

7:07 p.m.: Austin D. Monteer, 18, of the 1100 block of East Seventh Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Ohio Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license.


July 22

1:55 p.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported in the 900 block of Westwood Avenue. The victim said a note was left on the vehicle’s windshield, but the information did not appear to be legitimate.

5:21 p.m.: A victim in the 2500 block of Wing Avenue reported unauthorized online purchases were made with their debit card.

5:21 p.m.: A wallet and Under Armour sunglasses were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Dundee Avenue.

July 23

7:19 a.m.: A tire was reported slashed on a vehicle parked in front of a residence in the 400 block of East Broadway Boulevard.

10:45 a.m.: A purse was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked at a residence in the 1200 block of Deseret Drive. A debit card from the purse was reportedly used at an unknown location for approximately $300.

5:18 p.m.: Several LED yard ornaments, valued at $58, were reported stolen from a yard at a residence in the 2100 block of East Ninth Street.

8:56 p.m.: A pedestrian was reportedly struck by a vehicle near the Katy Trail intersection and Clarendon Road. The victim was able to walk home and arrange for transportation to Bothwell Regional Health Center to seek medical attention. The victim was unable to give a vehicle description.

July 24

2:46 a.m.: A male suspect wearing dark clothing and a mask reportedly pointed a weapon at a female employee at a business in the 1600 block of East Broadway Boulevard and asked for all the money. She put an unknown amount of money from the register into a bag, then the suspect left the business.

1:46 p.m.: A license plate was reported stolen from a vehicle while it was parked at a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard.

July 23

10:48 p.m.: Clayton J. Bell, 18, of Jefferson City, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of minor visibly intoxicated and speeding.
