Jan. 10 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 5

5:15 a.m.: Timothy Lee Davis, 40, of the 1000 block of East Fourth Street, was arrested in the 200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of trespassing. A business reported a subject was trespassing after being previously advised not to be on the property.

Jan. 7

10:37 p.m.: Harley Renee Danks, 44, of the 900 block of East Fifth Street, was arrested at her residence on a charge of third degree domestic assault. An officer responded to a report of a disturbance. A male victim said he was assaulted by his ex-girlfriend, who slapped him in the face, while he was trying to get his items from the residence. The female confirmed the assault happened.

Jan. 8

1:35 p.m.: Benjamin Everett Brown, 24, of the 25000 block of Van Natta Road, was arrested in the 1500 block of Thompson Boulevard on charges of speeding, driving with a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance with attempt to deliver. A traffic stop was conducted for a speeding vehicle. Dispatch told the officer the driver had a suspended license. The driver was arrested and during a search the officer found a plastic baggie containing seven pills. When asked what the pills were, the driver said they were his mom’s pain medication and he was taking them to his friend who had a toothache.

2:09 p.m.: Jonathan W. Ayers, 30, no address given, was arrested near the intersection of East Third Street and South Center Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

8:05 p.m.: Taylor N.M. McIntyre, 18, of the 400 block of East 13th Street, was arrested at their residence on charges of third degree domestic assault and resisting arrest. There was an argument between the suspect and victim, and the suspect locked the victim out of the residence. As the victim was stepping through the front door, the suspect shoved the victim backwards. The suspect also resisted arrested by pulling away from the officer a few times.

8:14 p.m.: Jaime Almanza Meza, 37, of the 900 block of East Fifth Street, was arrested near the intersection of South Grand Avenue and West Sixth Street on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license, second degree assault and leaving the scene of an accident. At 7:51 p.m., an officer responded to a report of an intoxicated subject causing a disturbance, but left in an SUV prior to officer arrival. At 8:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to two accidents, one at South Grand Avenue and West Broadway Boulevard and another at South Grand Avenue and West Sixth Street, both caused by the intoxicated subject. One person was injured but refused medical treatment.

11:43 p.m.: Elijah Hamid Watts, 24, of the 1000 block of South Osage Avenue, was arrested on a charge of resisting arrest. An officer saw subjects fighting in the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard and when he attempted to make contact, one of them ran. After a brief foot pursuit, he subject was located hiding behind a bush at a residence at the corner of Seventh Street and Moniteau Avenue.

Jan. 9

5:17 a.m.: Talitha A. Parkhurst, 20, of the 2400 block of Woodlawn Drive, was arrested at her residence on charges of second degree domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action. An officer responded to a report of a domestic disturbance involving a knife. The male victim said the suspect punched him and threatened him with a knife.

Incidents

Jan. 7

11:07 a.m.: The back window of a vacant home in the 1700 block of South Grand Avenue was reported broken, and a shirt and jeans were on the living room floor.

3:52 p.m.: An officer was near the intersection of East Boonville Street and North Hill Avenue to search for a vehicle involved in a burglary. He found a vehicle matching the description in the 400 block of North Hurley Avenue and the license plate turned out to be stolen. He and another officer approached a nearby residence to talk to the occupants about the vehicle and they smelled the odor of marijuana. They identified four suspects and two children inside. They gained consent to search and officers found drug paraphernalia, marijuana and drug paraphernalia with methamphetamine residue. The items were seized and tested for drug residue. No arrests were made, but charges are being sought.

8:41 p.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported in front of a residence in the 2300 block of East 12th Street.

Jan. 8

1:24 p.m.: The tailgate of a Chevy truck was reported stolen and two wood curio cabinets were reported stolen from a shed in the 1600 block of East Seventh Street. Combined value is estimated at $450.

4:30 p.m.: Two tires were reported cut and an unknown white substance was reportedly put inside the gas tank of a vehicle in the 200 block of East Walnut Street.

5:02 p.m.: The tailgate of a 2010 Dodge Ram 3500 was reported stolen in the 600 block of East 13th Street.

Jan. 9

4:15 a.m.: A Colt firearm, valued at $1,500, was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked at a residence in the 1000 block of West Third Street.

Arrests

Jan. 8

10:05 p.m.: Eric A. Silva, 24, of Windsor, was arrested in Henry County on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident.

11:05 p.m.: Mark W. Rogers, 36, of Stoutland, was arrested in Benton County on charges of tampering with a motor vehicle and driving with a revoked license.
