Arrests

July 27

9:41 a.m.: Jasper T. Johnson, 28, of the 600 block of South Lafayette Avenue, was arrested in the 600 block of South Lafayette Avenue on a charge of third degree domestic assault.

Incidents

July 27

1:19 p.m.: An unknown subject reportedly forced entry through the back door of a residence in the 800 block of East 19th Street. A weed eater was reported stolen from the detached garage.

1:35 p.m.: A washing machine, valued at $25, was reported stolen from the front porch of a residence in the 1400 block of South Kentucky Avenue.

3:47 p.m.: A red scooter was reported stolen from the driveway of a residence in the 1500 block of East 13th Street.

5:28 p.m.: A sawed-off bolt action shotgun with a sawed-off grip was found hidden on a property in the 1000 block of East Broadway Boulevard.

6:50 p.m.: A Garmin, valued at $199, was reported stolen by an unknown subject from a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard.

July 28

3:56 p.m.: A concrete swan, valued at $20, was reported stolen from the complainant’s family’s grave in the 900 block of North Engineer Avenue.

4:48 p.m.: Officers responded to the Public Housing Authority in the 300 block of Buckner Court for a report of a firearm on federal property. Upon officer arrival, the subject had a weapon in his front pocket. The weapon was seized for violation of conceal carry (no permit) and possession of a firearm on federal property. The subject was not arrested, but charges have been sent to the prosecutor.

11:07 p.m.: Tires were reportedly sliced on a vehicle in the 600 block of West Fourth Street.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests

July 28

1:50 a.m.: Petro Gavrishchuk was stopped by Pettis County deputies for not stopping at the stop light at U.S. Highway 50 and state Route MM, but he failed to stop for the deputies. He was released on a summons.

11:48 p.m.: Ronnie Price Jr. was arrested near the intersection of Seventh Street and Engineer Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
